Summary/Objective

Responsible for overseeing transportation operations for the company. Also responsible for dispatching transit vehicles, directing employees at the terminal, and ensuring transportation network continues to function properly.

Essential Functions

• Assist in budget for all facilities.
• Communicate with customers, managers, and all employes in a professional manner.
• Approve purchases.
• Maintain QMS to ensure all standard requirements are met.
• Assist General Manager with preparing annual operation budget.
• Review weekly/monthly financial reports.
• Review open A/R accounts and pursue collections.
• Monitor controllable labor percentages.

Supervisory Responsibility

This position has direct reports.

Work Environment

Well-lighted, heated, and/or air-conditioned indoor office, production setting, outdoor/indoor shop environment, or enclosed vehicle with adequate ventilation and protection from extreme weather conditions.

Physical Demands

Light physical activity performing non-strenuous daily activities of an administrative or production/technical nature. Manual dexterity sufficient to reach and handle items.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are primarily 8 hours each day, Monday through Friday on a day shift. This position often requires overtime.

Travel

Minimal travel (up to 10%) by land and/or air.

Required Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree (B.A) from four-year college or university; or two years related experience and/or training.

Work Authorization/Security Clearance

Must be able to obtain TWIC badge (Transportation Working Identification Badge).
