First Fertility partners with reproductive endocrinology practices across the United States, investing in and offering strategic opportunities to these Centers of Excellence so that clinicians can focus on what matters most: taking care of their patients. The First Fertility network provides the support of an experienced leadership team and corporate departments to help ease the burden of non-patient care activities for practices within the network.

Essential duties and responsibilities:

• Serves as a representative of First Fertility, displaying courtesy, tact, consideration, and discretion in all interactions with other members of the First Fertility Communities, and the public.
• Collaborate with team members/leads to resolve outstanding AR issues.
• Evaluate denials, rejections, and partial payments to determine if further reimbursement is valid.
• Identify and request adjustments to insurance and patient accounts as necessary, while following departmental procedures and policies related to overpayments, credits, and refunds.
• Respond in a timely manner by either telephone and or written communication to all requests from centers, insurance companies and other members of the First Fertility Communities
• Documents pertinent account information pertaining to claims submission and resolution.
• Utilizing and navigating payor websites for verification of patient benefit eligibility, claim status and corrected claims.
• Maintain billing issues log.
• Ability to consistently maintain productivity and quality expectations as defined by management.

Other duties and responsibilities:

• Follow internal protocols regarding departmental communications.
• Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals
• Adhere to corporate compliance program guidelines and comply with all safety policies, practices, and procedures within the First Fertility Communities
• Maintain and respect the confidentiality of PHI (Protected Health Information) in accordance with insurance collection guidelines, corporate policy, and all HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) mandates. Candidates will have access to PHI based on the HIPAA minimum necessary standards.
• Other duties as assigned by management.

Skills and qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED; required.
• Women’s Health/Fertility experience preferred not required.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a Medical Billing setting (office/central Billing Office)
• Prior medical billing and health insurance knowledge
• Computer skills/basic knowledge of (MS word, excel) evidenced by proficiency and /or training with applicable software.
• Ability to set priorities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with professional and courteous telephone manner.
• Knowledge of CPT and ICD-10 coding
