Position Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Assistant Dispensary Manager to help oversee the daily operations of our cannabis dispensary. The Assistant Dispensary Manager will be responsible for managing staff, ensuring compliance with regulations, maintaining inventory control, and providing exceptional customer service.

Main Duties/Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise dispensary staff, including hiring, training, and conducting performance evaluations
• Develop and implement employee orientation and training programs
• Support the General Manager in overseeing day-to-day retail operations
• Ensure compliance with all state and local regulations governing the operation of a cannabis dispensary
• Maintain accurate inventory records and oversee inventory control procedures
• Monitor sales trends and adjust product offerings accordingly
• Develop and implement marketing strategies to attract new customers and retain existing ones
• Knowledge of appropriately scheduling staff
• Maintain a clean and organized dispensary environment
• Adhere to strict security protocols to ensure the safety of staff, customers, and products

Experience/Skills:

• Previous experience in a management role within the cannabis industry preferred
• Strong knowledge of cannabis products, strains, and consumption methods
• Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
• Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail
• Ability to effectively manage inventory control procedures
• Experience in recruiting, training, and developing employees
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Knowledge of phone etiquette for handling customer inquiries
• Adhere to, enforce all city, and state regulations and company policies and procedures; educate the team and ensure compliance
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.

About You

• Minimum 21 years of age
• Legally authorized to work in Cannabis in New York
• College degree preferred but not required.
• 2-4 years related experience preferred
• Minimum 2 years' experience as a retail Store Manager with proven success
• Demonstrated ability to multitask and time manage.
• Must be able to adapt to a changing work environment.
• Experience working in fast-paced work environment and able to adapt to demands of competing work priorities.
• Proven leadership and people management experience.
• Strong computer skills including proficiency in POS
• Cannabis experience a plus but not required.
• Entry-level knowledge of cannabis related vocabulary and products preferred but not required.
