Engineering Project Manager

We are seeking a motivated Project Manager to support our R&D Programs Director in advancing new product development initiatives from initial concept through manufacturing launch. This role is integral to our engineering department's efforts in innovating and enhancing our product offerings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in project administration including documentation, meeting minutes, and task follow-up.
  • Collaborate with engineering and procurement teams to source, purchase, and track both custom and standard components such as sheet metal, electronic printed circuit board assemblies (PCBA), and hardware required for product development.
  • Create, maintain, and track initial engineering Bill of Material (BOM) for new product designs with initial part costs, and assist Operations on initial drafts of Master Production Schedule (MPS) as part of New Product Introduction (NPI) manufacturing ramp.
  • Maintain and verify the accuracy of engineering part inventory.
  • Take on project management responsibilities for multiple small projects adhering to the SENS New Product Lifecycle (PLC) process.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, technical project management, or a closely related field.
  • 5 years of experience in an engineering, R&D, and manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Familiarity with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems such as Infor SyteLine or similar.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications (Excel, Project, Word, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.)
  • Highly organized with a keen eye for detail and the ability to manage multiple and frequently changing priorities effectively.
  • Knowledge of both agile and waterfall project management methodologies is desirable.
  • Experience with project management tools such as YouTrack, Jira, or Trello is advantageous.
  • Experience with Material Requirements Planning (MRP) and/or Master Production Scheduling (MPS) a plus.

Work Environment/ Physical Requirements:

Works in fast paced office environment. Must be able to sit (70%), walk/ stand (30%), reach, bend, crouch, twist; manual dexterity required for data entry & other tasks. Speaking and hearing required to communicate internally and over the phone. Working hours are Monday-Friday from 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Must be flexible to work additional hours from time to time if required.

Base Compensation: $90,000-$100,00 is the projected annual salary for this role depending on the candidate’s overall qualifications and experience. You may also be eligible to receive bonus and benefits.

Location: This is a majority on-site position at SENS offices in Longmont, CO. Opportunity for partial remote work.
