Position: Assistant Factory Manager

Job Summary:

As the Assistant Factory Manager, where you will play a pivotal role in supporting the overall efficiency, productivity, and success of our manufacturing operations. We’re in a new factory in Pittsburgh, and we mainly manufacture steel pipe.

Job Responsibilities:

• Assist in overseeing daily manufacturing operations, ensuring adherence to production schedules and quality standards.

• Collaborate with department heads to optimize workflow and resource utilization.

• Support the Factory Manager in leading and motivating production teams.

• Assist in training and development initiatives to enhance team skills and efficiency.

• Work closely with the QA/Test team to ensure rigorous quality control measures are implemented and maintained.

• Participate in regular quality inspections to identify areas for improvement.

• Collaborate with the Warehouse team to oversee inventory levels, ensuring materials availability for production.

• Implement efficient inventory control measures to minimize shortages and excesses.

• Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction.

• Implement best practices to enhance overall factory efficiency.

• Generate regular reports on production metrics, identifying key performance indicators and areas for improvement.

• Provide updates and insights to the Factory Manager and senior management.

• Promote and enforce safety protocols and guidelines throughout the factory.

• Participate in safety audits and training sessions.

Job Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing Management, or a related field.

• Proven experience in a supervisory or management role within a manufacturing environment.

• Proficiency in both Chinese and English communication.

• Familiarity with the steel, fabrication, and manufacturing industry is advantageous.

• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.

• Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.

• Proficient in project management and production planning.

• Effective communication skills to liaise with team members, management, and other departments.

Physical Qualifications:

• Ability to move around the factory floor and oversee various production processes.

• Comfortable standing for extended periods.

• Coordination and ability to handle technical equipment and tools.

• Strict adherence to safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

• Ability to identify and address potential safety hazards.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $85,025.00 - $100,000.00 per year
