Mind Body Optimization, Inc is Hiring a Front Desk Receptionist Near Franklin, TN

POSITION SUMMARY

As a Patient Care Coordinator at Mind Body Optimization, you will play a crucial role in supporting healthcare professionals and ensuring the smooth operation of the facility. Your responsibilities will involve a combination of administrative and clinical tasks, contributing to the overall patient care experience. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to patient well-being, possess excellent organizational skills, and thrive in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education: A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in counseling, psychology, or social work is preferred. High school diploma required.

Experience: Previous experience in a call center or customer service role, preferably in a healthcare setting. Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) is a plus.

Additional Requirements: The ability to remain calm under pressure and handle crisis situations with sensitivity. Familiarity with electronic health record systems and call center software is a plus. Complete TB Screening, Drug Screening and Background check upon being hired.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Greet and assist patients with check-in, ensuring accurate and up-to-date demographic information.

2. Escort patients around the clinic and prepare them for the visit, including obtaining vital signs and relevant medical history.

3. Explain procedures, treatments, and medication instructions to patients as directed by healthcare providers.

4. Perform basic clinical tasks, such as taking and recording vital signs.

5. Maintain and organize medical equipment and supplies in labs.

6. Accurately record patient information, medical histories, and other pertinent data in electronic health records (EHR) systems.

7. Ensure all documentation complies with regulatory standards and clinic policies.

8. Schedule appointments and manage patient appointment reminders.

9. Handle incoming phone calls, address patient inquiries, and relay messages to healthcare providers as needed.

10. Complete and process insurance forms, referrals, and other administrative paperwork.

11. Communicate effectively with healthcare providers, nursing staff, and administrative personnel to facilitate coordinated patient care.

12. Participate in team meetings and contribute to a collaborative and positive work environment.

13. Adhere to infection control protocols, including proper hand hygiene and maintaining a clean and sterile environment in patient care areas.

14. Stay informed about industry updates and medical advancements and attend relevant training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge.

PHYSICAL, MENTAL, AND SPECIAL DEMANDS

1. Ability to reach above and below the waist, turn, twist and to manipulate small tools (copier, computer, telephone, typewriter, calculator, safe, facsimile machine).

2. Ability to see well enough to read handwritten and typewritten material.

3. Ability to handle a variety of repetitive tasks at a moderate level.

4. Available to work varied hours (i.e. evenings, weekends) as required, may be on call as needed.

5. Ability to handle multiple projects and tasks under deadlines and with short notice.

Pay: From $20.00 per hour
