Responsibilities:
- Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, grooming, and dressing
- Prepare meals and assist with feeding if necessary
- Administer medication according to prescribed instructions
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure and temperature
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
- Assist with light housekeeping tasks, including laundry and tidying up
- Escort clients to appointments or social activities
- Follow all safety protocols and maintain a safe environment for clients
Requirements:
- Previous experience in personal care or a related field is preferred
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and maintaining client confidentiality
- Familiarity with systems related to personal care documentation
- Ability to provide care for individuals with dementia or memory impairments
- Understanding of resident rights and the importance of maintaining dignity and respect
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for transportation needs
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
