Cyclyx International, LLC, is leading the development of a comprehensive set of innovations focused on addressing the world's plastic waste problem with the ultimate goal of increasing the recyclability of waste plastics from 10% to 90%. Cyclyx has developed the ability to assess waste plastics by their chemical properties vs object identification and then using its algorithms to make custom blended feedstock for various mechanical and chemical recyclers specifications providing new recycling options that have not traditionally existed.

To scale the technology, Cyclyx has also developed a unique plastic processing facility called the Cyclyx Circularity Center (CCC) to process the waste plastics with new methodologies and has also developed a series of landfill deferral programs to divert waste plastics away from the landfill. The innovations Cyclyx has developed provide a disruptive platform for the existing recycling industry and we are looking for highly motivated, creative, and resourceful leaders to join our mission. The Cyclyx Graphic Designer/Web Administrator is a visual problem solver with a passion for creating original work across various mediums including print, digital, and social media platforms. S/he will possess a strong understanding of design principles, typography, color theory, and layout techniques to create visually stunning graphics that captivate the B2B and B2C audiences. In this role, you will utilize your WordPress Content Management Systems (CMS) expertise combined with your graphic design skills to align with the evolving needs of Cyclyx's digital presence. S/he will collaborate with the Marketing Team to develop and execute design concepts that effectively communicate the company's brand identity and support marketing and promotional initiatives including website enhancements. Our desired candidate will also be a collaborative self-starter who leads concurrent time-sensitive design campaigns and assists in translating marketing goals into appealing creative.

Position Duties & Responsibilities

• Collaborates with internal teams, including other designers, copywriters, Marketing stakeholders, and others during the concept phase through the completion of a project.
• Works with external vendors and partners as required to fulfill joint design projects.
• Produces a wide variety of creative deliverables, both digital and printed, including, but not limited to:
  • Social media graphics and animations
  • Print and digital ads
  • Video creation
  • Website
  • Business collateral
  • Promotional materials; brochures, signage, etc
• Collaborates with Marketing Team to design, edit, enhance, update, and maintain visually appealing and user-friendly web pages using WordPress themes and plugins.
• Manages the design of our brands across all platforms and materials, ensuring they are represented correctly, professionally, and creatively.
• Designs consistent visuals using (and developing on) existing brand guidelines for multiple brands.
• Brainstorms with the team to come up with new ideas, patterns, and styles to visually represent the brands and work.
• Provides innovative ideas, constantly elevating and evolving the creative.
• Ability to transform knowledge into professional graphic concepts and high-level designs.
• Thrives in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects and shifting priorities, while maintaining the highest levels of commitment to good design principles and quality.
• Solves complex design challenges to create intuitive and enjoyable experiences.
• Working alongside our digital specialist, creates on-brand, intriguing graphics and visuals for social media posts, websites and support pages, and emails to grow brand awareness and gain user retention.
• Responsible for digital asset management by upkeeping and organizing design files and creative material.
• Showcases our pioneering capabilities through an innovative social media presence with creative design and videos.
• Completes requested image edits, including resizing images to meet web requirements.
• Works closely with the production team to ensure that the job is completed within time and cost constraints.
• Maintains a pulse on new design trends and techniques, while keeping up with the latest technology in the industry.
• Completes work to the best ability, checking for possible mistakes and making any corrections accordingly prior to submission and posting live on the web.
• Experience working with outside vendors/printers.

Qualifications/Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of professional experience with proven work and design experience as a successful illustrator, graphic designer, or similar role.
• Professional experience with creative and visual communications either in-house or at an agency.
• Proficient in using design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere Pro, etc.) and other programs.
• Proficient in WordPress (CMS) for website administration, including theme customization, plugin management, and basic HTML and CSS coding for content formatting and customization within WordPress templates.
• Familiarity with and comfort in using Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams, Word, etc.)
• Excellent attention to detail so that work submitted has minimal flaws or errors.
• Ability to produce high-quality work in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of printing processes and specifications is desirable.
• Familiarity with web design (knowledge of basic HTML and CSS) and social media platforms

• Experience with content management software including Asana, Photoshop, and Flash.
• Understands how to properly design and lay out a webpage to meet SEO Best Practices.
• Demonstrable portfolio of completed illustrations that speak to both consumer and business audiences.
• Experience in the environmental, recycling, plastics manufacturing, or other related commodities business preferred.

Education/Training

• Associate's or Bachelor's Degree with a concentration in Graphic Arts or related Fine Arts field, or 6-8 years of relevant experience is required.

Position Mechanics

Reports To: VP of Marketing / Sr. Marketing Manager

Type: Salaried; full time

Regular Office Hours: 8:30am-5:00pm, plus occasional evening and weekend work to adhere to the ongoing news cycle

Staff: No direct reports, but solicits and manages contributions from internal resources and manages relevant vendors

Location: Anywhere in the US

Work Environment: Professional office and remote office

Travel: The work will mostly be performed locally, though occasional travel should be expected

Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship for employment visa status.
