L’Ostrica is an approachable, upscale dining concept anchored by a seasonally-driven tasting menu experience. Our intimate dining room offers guests the chance to enjoy a thoughtfully prepared progression of dishes that can be accompanied by wine or spirit-free pairings. In addition, we offer an a la carte menu at the bar, seasonal cocktails, and casual Sunday Suppers.

The FOH and BOH teams work together closely to deliver a seamless, memorable experience to all guests. A spirit of collaboration and an ability to anticipate the needs of our guests and other teammates are key traits held by all staff members. Learning happens continuously here, and a suitable candidate will have a strong desire to deepen their knowledge in order to create a great hospitality experience.

We are looking for an experienced server to join our team that shares these traits and can perform the the following duties:

• Create a memorable and enjoyable dining experience for all guests
• Provide excellent, anticipatory customer service during their dining experience
• Offer suggestions for food or drink choices to diners seeking guidance
• Memorize seasonal food menus, beverage pairings, and the a la carte bar menu
• Confidently respond to guest inquiries about our food and beverage options
• Communicate with the kitchen to ensure timely delivery of each course
• Coordinate with management to ensure dietary restrictions and other special requests are handled appropriately
• Clean and prepare the entire FOH for guests each evening
• Serve drinks and food in an unhurried, consistent manner
• Capture feedback and guest details that will help us improve their future experiences
• Assist other FOH team members as needed
• Mark tables to prepare for the next course
• Reset tables throughout the shift
• Greet customers upon arrival at the restaurant

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum of 2 years experience as a lead server, preferably at an upscale or fine dining establishment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to recall information on menus as well as guest requests
• Detail-oriented; notices what others might miss and takes personal ownership in addressing them
• Can maintain a sense of urgency about meeting guest needs without seeming “hurried”
• Punctual and excels at prioritization and time management
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and practices

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
