Facsimile Communication Industries, Inc is Hiring a Parts Runner (Part-Time) Near New York, NY
We are looking for a Part-time Parts Runner to join our team in our NYC area locations. This position is long term with the potential to grow into more.
- Delivers and picks up supplies to and from assigned locations
- Maintains appropriate levels of supplies kept in stock
- Places and tracks parts orders
- Receives shipments and stocks parts
- Performs related troubleshooting tasks based on skill level
- Maintains a safe work area for customers and coworkers
- Performs other miscellaneous duties as assigned and performs duties at company established performance levels
- Prolonged periods of standing, stooping, crawling, and bending
- May lift up to 25 lbs. and/or move up to 50 lbs. with assistive devices
- Environmental conditions include heat, cold, humidity, noise, dust, and wetness
- High school education or equivalent
- Working knowledge of activities, methods, procedures, and policies of the shop
- Comprehensive product knowledge
- Record mileage; use Runner Daily Log.
- Knowledge of installation and product specifications
- Ability to handle multiple tasks
- Should have knowledge of NYC and surrounding areas
Requirements:
- Valid Driver's License and acceptable driving record
- Must have own reliable vehicle
- Should be able to lift up to 25 lbs.
- Must be able to work current schedule. This is a part-time position, Monday - Friday ( 8 am- 2 pm)
- High School diploma or general education degree (GED); or 3-6 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
