Responsibilities:
- Assist the lead teacher in implementing Montessori-based educational activities and lesson plans
- Provide support to students with special needs, including those with autism
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment
- Help supervise and ensure the safety of students at all times
- Assist with classroom management and behavior management strategies
- Collaborate with the lead teacher to assess student progress and provide feedback
- Assist with daily tasks such as preparing materials and maintaining a clean and organized classroom
- Provide one-on-one support to students who require additional assistance
Requirements:
- Experience working with students in an educational setting, preferably in early childhood education or special education
- Knowledge of literacy education and early childhood development principles
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with students, parents, and colleagues
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
- Patience, empathy, and a passion for working with children
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Associates Degree or higher (some positions may require additional education or certifications)
