Job Overview:
The ICU Nurse Manager utilizes the nursing process, transformational leadership skills, evidenced based practice, a shared leadership approach and lean principles in developing and maintaining the clinical skill in the Intensive Care unit. The ICU Nurse Manager will assist with the Director of ICU with the quality and performance improvement plan for the clinical areas within ICU. This position will work closely with the ICU clinical educator and other members of the ICU leadership to develop education programs related to assessed needs of ICU. The ICU Nurse Manager assumes the responsibility in coaching and developing the ICU team member's clinical skills to meet the needs of the patients served

Education Requirements

• BSN required
• Masters in related field of nursing preferred

Experience Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years as a Registered Nurse in an ICU setting
• 2 years as a charge nurse or equivalent duties related to an ICU setting preferred

License Requirements

• Must be currently licensed in the State of Virginia as a RN or have the ability to obtain licensure in VA within 60 days of hire
