Carolina Forest ACE is Hiring a STIHL and other Small Engine and Power Tool Repair/Screen Repair Technician Near Myrtle, SC

Position Summary:
In this position, the right candidate will demonstrate proficiency in the diagnosing and repair of a wide variety of outdoor power equipment as well as a friendly demeanor for talking to customers. The preferred candidate will also demonstrate proficiency in custom screen assembly and repair. The technician is responsible for the overall success of the Stihl and outdoor power equipment department. They are the key point-of-contact in the store to establish and promote relationships with Stihl customers, as well as being the go-to person in the store for all questions regarding power equipment. This is a position that will require continual technical training and growth.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Diagnose problems and determine what repairs are needed on STIHL power equipment and other items as assigned
Disassembly, repair, and reassembly of components and machines.
Performs all service tasks
Prepares all forms (detail of work performed on repair orders) to be entered into our computer system.
Report any additional work required on equipment to customers, for proper and safe operation.
Participates in all training programs.
Maintains a clean work area and performs work in a neat and orderly fashion.
Brings to the attention of the Store Manager any shop tools or equipment that is not in a serviceable condition or is unsafe to use.
Requirements:
Work will include small engine repair/maintenance as well as screen construction and repair
Work may also include blade sharpening, small household item repairs and other relevant duties
Experience with lawn care equipment repair, such as mowers, blowers, and other handheld equipment. (Stihl and Kohler preferred)
Preferred experience repairing and maintaining both gasoline and diesel engines
Able to accurately diagnose problems quickly
Attention to detail and troubleshooting ability
Ability to use a computer for ordering and submitting warranty claims
PREFER STIHL certification
Must have reliable transportation
Additional Responsibilities:
Must be able to prioritize, multi-task, and work independently.
Must be organized and keep work space tidy
Must keep accurate customer records, warranty/claim records and be able to account for cost/billable time
Must be able to order parts and shop supplies through varies channels, ie Stihl website and ACE
Must keep accurate inventory of materials and use time and materials efficiently
Maintain assigned materials/equipment and maximize their useful life
Maintain tools and equipment according to manufacturers directions
