**Job Overview:**
3rd & Fernwood is seeking a dedicated Dish/Prep Team Member to join our culinary team. This role is crucial in maintaining the cleanliness and efficiency of our kitchen operations. The position involves significant dishwashing and cleaning duties, complemented by responsibilities for food preparation. We are looking for someone who takes pride in maintaining a spotless environment and supports the culinary team by assisting with basic prep tasks. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is looking to grow their culinary skills in a dynamic setting.
**Responsibilities:**
- Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, and pans using dishwashers or by hand.
- Maintain a clean and orderly kitchen by washing and sanitizing countertops, kitchen walls, stoves, and equipment.
- Properly sort and dispose of waste and recycling.
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks under the chef’s guidance.
- Ensure food and supply items are stored properly.
- Monitor cleaning supplies and report any inventory needs to the kitchen manager.
- Adhere to all sanitation and food production codes.
- Handle additional related tasks as assigned.
**Requirements:**
- Previous experience in a kitchen or cleaning role preferred, but not required.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Good organizational skills.
- A team player with excellent communication skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
