COEM Center for Occupational and Environmental Medicine is Hiring a Phlebotomist Near Charleston, SC

Certified Phlebotomist Technician (North Charleston, SC)

If you are used to sticking 50-100 people a day and want a change, this position offers you the ability to spend more time with patients and treat them with dignity, not just another stick or another number. You will interact with 5-10 patients a day on average. 
An established (45 years) and growing medical center is seeking a Certified Phlebotomist Technician with a minimum of 5 years experience. Qualified applicants should be able to work in a precise manner,multi-task, work well under pressure, be organized and detail oriented, outgoing and most importantly have excellent customer service skills.
Computer skills are also a must. Your comfort and ability with Microsoft Word, Excel, and general computer knowledge will be tested.
Duties will Include:
  • Perform blood draws on patients and prepare for LabCorp/Fed-Ex pick-up daily.
  • Mix and administer several different I.V. treatments for patients ( training included) Under supervision of an M.D.
  • Answer any questions a patient may ask about lab test kits and labs.
  • Administer oxygen/oxygen multi-step therapy for patients.
  • Take patients' pulses, blood pressure readings, weight, and temperature.
  • Assist in the front office with patient calls and assist in appointments with scribing.
ONLY CANDIDATES with prior experience as a phlebotomist need apply.
