POSITION SUMMARY

We are seeking a skilled Marketing Specialist and Proposal writer to join our team. At Urban One we value innovation, creativity and a passion for delivering outstanding results. Our ideal candidate will possess a diverse skill set, encompassing proposal writing for multimillion-dollar projects, social media marketing and content creation.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTION AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Create engaging content for marketing materials, including website content, social media posts, and marketing collateral.
• Collaborate with business development, estimating, and preconstruction teams to develop proposal strategies.
• Conduct thorough analysis of RFP/RFQ requirements, project scopes and client expectations to tailor proposal approaches.
• Write, edit, and format proposals with a keen eye to ensure compliance with RFP/RFQ instructions, accuracy, professionalism, and completeness of proposal submissions.
• Utilize graphic design skills to ensure that graphics and visuals communicate the key messaging and enhance the overall impact of the proposal.
• Maintain a centralized filing system of proposal content, templates and reusable resources for future use.
• Develop and implement marketing strategies.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing/Communications, Journalism, English or equivalent
• Proven experience in marketing and proposal writing
• Proficient in marketing techniques (layout, graphics)
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud, including InDesign and Photoshop
• Ability to manage and work effortlessly with Team Leaders
• Proven leadership and strategy development skills
• Confident personality with the ability to think strategically and help teams develop sound pursuit and proposal strategies
• Strong communication skills both written and oral
• Excellent organizational, problem solving and time management skills
