The Museum Manager position is responsible for the daily operations of the museum. There must be a high level of focus on creating a positive culture amongst employees and a fun experience for our guests. The majority of the role is spent on the museum floor interacting with guests and employees, so it is important to have strong communication skills and lots of energy.

The Museum Manager will report to the Operations Manager and assist in the following duties which includes building a great team, training employees, holding staff accountable, scheduling, communication, reporting, cleaning and maintaining the exhibits and museum space.

The museum also has a small retail shop, for which the Museum Manager oversees its operation and success. Maintaining displays, inventory, and promoting sales is essential.

The museum manager will also assist the marketing manager with the museum's marketing efforts. These include creating social media content within the museum, going to offsite marketing events, hosting media in the museum, and helping plan special events.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Skilled Through Alternative Routes (STAR)
• Associate / Bachelor's Degree a plus
• Minimum 5 years Management / Supervisor experience
• Excellent people and communication skills
• Strong written skills
• High energy team player
• Ability to adapt to changes
• Experienced in fast pace customer facing role
• Fluent in English
