ROLE SUMMARY

As the Technical Shop Supervisor within our Rental Department, you will be pivotal in ensuring our warehouse operations' smooth and efficient functioning. This position demands a blend of hands-on management of physical equipment and strategic ability to streamline and enhance operational workflows. You will be in a dynamic, fast-paced environment where adaptability and problem-solving are paramount.

The role is designed for someone who maintains meticulous attention to detail for quality control and thrives in a team setting, demonstrating a proactive and committed approach to achieving excellence. We seek an individual who embodies a strong work ethic and actively engages in creative ideation to optimize processes. Additionally, technical and computer skills will be crucial in effectively overseeing and innovating warehouse operations, particularly in video and audio equipment management.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Perform daily activities in the warehouse, ensuring operational efficiency and precision across all tasks. Your role will be critical in maintaining high standards and optimizing the handling and storage of equipment.
  • Actively develop and implement strategies to enhance warehouse processes. Utilize your technical and video equipment knowledge to innovate and refine equipment handling and maintenance procedures.
  • Conduct thorough inspections and processing of incoming and outgoing equipment to align with project timelines. Maintain an up-to-date, real-time inventory that accurately reflects our rental assets, ensuring meticulous documentation and equipment readiness.
  • Manage the logistics of equipment delivery and returns to optimize overall workflow. This includes scheduling and overseeing equipment transport to and from clients and vendors, ensuring timely execution and compliance with safety standards.
  • Uphold all warehouse activities to the highest health and safety standards. Regularly review and improve safety protocols, ensuring a safe working environment for all staff.
  • Lead by example and guide team members, fostering an environment that encourages knowledge sharing, efficiency, and innovation.

TO BE AN ALL-STAR

  • Demonstrated experience in equipment rental or audio-visual fields, with a strong grasp of related technology and software, including asset management systems.
  • Possession of a valid driver’s license and forklift certification, coupled with the physical capability to manage loads up to 50 lbs.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to manage multiple projects, adapt to changing priorities and meet deadlines under pressure.
  • A solid commitment to professional growth and excellence, with a willingness to undertake overtime hours to support project requirements and team goals.
