We are now looking for experienced pet care professionals with great customer service abilities to join our team and ensure our clients receive top-notch care. The Overnight Kennel Technicians will be responsible for overseeing the facility while the dogs are asleep. Applicants must be passionate about dogs, dependable and of high integrity.

Shift Hours: 10PM TO 6AM (NIGHT SHIFT)

Responsibilities:

- Cleaning and disinfecting kennels and common areas

- Feeding and watering dogs according to specific instructions

- Administering medication to dogs as needed

- Monitoring dog behavior and reporting any issues to management

- Ensuring the safety and well-being of all dogs in the facility

- Providing exercise and playtime for dogs in outdoor areas

- Maintaining accurate records of dog information and activities

- Assisting with grooming and bathing of dogs

- Keeping inventory of supplies and notifying management when items need to be restocked

- Communicating with pet owners regarding their dog's stay and any updates or concerns

Requirements:

- High school diploma or equivalent

- Previous experience working with dogs, such as in a kennel, daycare, or veterinary setting

- Basic knowledge of dog behavior and body language

- Ability to handle and restrain dogs of all sizes and breeds

- Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately

- Strong communication and customer service skills

- Physical ability to lift and carry dogs up to 50 pounds and perform cleaning tasks

- Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed

- Passion for and understanding of proper animal care and welfare

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

The ideal employee for a Puppy Lodge overnight kennel technician position is someone who genuinely loves animals and is passionate about their well-being. This position requires working during non-operating lobby hours and as the only team member during this shift. Shifts will will include weekends and holidays.

• Availability on busy holidays and peak times including but not limited to: Christmas Day, New Year’s Day and Fourth of July!
