The Information Governance (IG) Department, as part of The Finance Division, is responsible for coordinating the strategy for ElectriCities’ organizational information. The Information Governance Department is responsible for assuring the integrity and evidentiary value of all corporate records according to the Information Governance Policy, as well as reducing risk, and driving employee productivity through implementing effective information management strategies.
The Information Governance (IG) Manager will be responsible for managing and auditing the IG department. Working in conjunction with IT, Legal, Compliance, and others, this position will also manage the development and implantation of IG-related policies, procedures, and technical solutions. The IG Manager is also expected to lead a cross functional IG Committee and to assist the Chief Legal Officer with contract lifecycle management and responding to public records requests, litigation discovery requests, and regulatory inquiries.

The Information Governance Manager works under the general supervision and guidance of the Chief Financial Officer, who reviews the employee’s work performance periodically under ElectriCities guidelines in terms of overall effectiveness and provides professional guidance as needed. The Chief Financial Officer approves all vacation and other time off. This position is exempt from the overtime provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act.
Physical Requirements
The Information Governance Manager must maintain the physical condition necessary to perform tasks in an office setting such as operating a personal computer, keyboards, and other peripheral equipment. The employee may be required to lift and move boxes of records weighing up to 40 pounds, as well as standing or sitting for extended periods of time.
