Strategic Communications Specialist - Senior
Work Location: Crystal City, VA | Hybrid

Summary:
This position supports the Program Management Office (PMO) by providing strategic communications within to include:
Provide day to day strategic communication (public affairs) support to PM Integrated Personnel and Pay System Army (IPPS-A)
Handles sensitive or confidential information
Coordinates Strategic Communications and Holiday messages
Plans, coordinates, and executes Town Halls and conferences
Prepares and coordinates briefings
Writes publications and articles
Maintains the PM IPPS-A briefing library
Prepares speeches
Prepares talking points for IPPS-A leadership
Prepares a variety of documents, such as: correspondence, forms, reports, statistical tables, spreadsheets using advanced skills and knowledge of word processing software
Advises writers in matters of style, syntax, and usage to improve the general quality and effectiveness of communications to include AR 25-50
Minimum Qualifications:

• 10 years of experience, and a MA/MS degree or equivalent years of experience
• Proven track record of working on high-visibility or mission critical aspects of a given program and performs all functional duties independently
• Must have a Secret Clearance

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
General knowledge of DoD acquisition
Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 products
Knowledge of the Armys AR 25-50
Strong coordination, organization, teaming, and communication skills
Excellent organizational, scheduling, and prioritization skills
Works well individually or in a group setting.
Ability to listen and understand task descriptions and requests
Ability to explain problem resolutions
Ability to quickly respond to time-critical queries from leadership
Ability to work independently without direct supervision or guidance
