Job Description: As a Security Officer at Therapy Medical Cannabis you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and security of our facility, staff, patients, and products. You will be responsible for maintaining a secure environment through vigilant monitoring, proactive measures, and adherence to security protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct regular patrols of the premises to deter and detect unauthorized activity.
• Monitor surveillance cameras and alarm systems to identify potential security threats.
• Control access to the facility by verifying the credentials of employees, patients, and visitors.
• Respond promptly to any security incidents, emergencies, or disturbances.
• Collaborate with local law enforcement agencies when necessary.
• Maintain accurate records of security-related activities, including incident reports and daily logs.
• Assist with inventory control and loss prevention efforts.
• Provide exceptional customer service by addressing security concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
• De-escalation

Qualifications:

• Due to state laws regarding cannabis dispensaries, applicants must be 21 years of age or older.
• Employment is contingent on passing FBI & BCI background checks, and state licensure.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior experience in security, law enforcement, or military preferred.
• Valid security guard license or ability to obtain one.
• Knowledge of security procedures, surveillance techniques, and emergency response protocols.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations.
• Basic computer skills for monitoring surveillance systems and documenting incidents.
• Knowledge of cannabis laws and regulations is a plus.
• First aid/AED
• De-escalation training
