Toledo Humane Society Family Pet Clinic is Hiring an Associate Veterinarian, Full Time Near Toledo, OH

The Family Pet Clinic opened its doors in April 2022 to provide affordable medical and surgical care for owned pets in a resource-challenged community. We are a satellite clinic for the Toledo Humane Society and receive grants and donations to enable us to assist those who are financially limited.

We are seeking a full-time veterinarian to join our team and to help grow our clinic. We are fully staffed with our full-time senior veterinarian, 2 receptionists, 2 RVT’s, 5 assistants and a clinic manager. We are currently open Monday through Thursday but with the addition of a second veterinarian, we are hoping to expand our availability to Fridays as well.

Our clinic is equipped with digital and dental x-rays, surgery suite, ultrasound, and in-house Idexx lab machines. Services we offer at this time: sick and wellness appointments, spay/neuter, dentals /- extractions, and advanced soft tissue surgery.

We are a close-knit team that believes in helping and supporting each other regardless of title or position. We encourage team work and promote a healthy work/life balance with no after-hour or weekend duties.

We are seeking a veterinarian who understands the uniqueness of a facility such as ours and the challenges of providing care in an underserved area. Qualities we are looking for in a potential candidate are: a positive attitude, flexible, able to handle difficult/high energy situations respectfully, able to think outside of the box and find alternative solutions, and is committed to providing the best care possible for our community and their pets.

Our proposal for applicants is a Monday through Thursday work schedule, 8:45am to 6pm, seeing appointments only. Experience in a fast-paced, low-cost or wellness clinic is preferred, but not required. Compensation is based on experience.

Full-time employees enjoy generous benefits including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short and long-term disability insurance, 401(k) match, EAP, PTO and paid holidays. Both full and part-time DVM’s receive an annual allowance for CE, professional memberships, and licensing. Working for a nonprofit may qualify you for student loan forgiveness.

Requirements:
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited veterinary school.
