V Dental is Hiring a Dental Assistant Near Las Vegas, NV

Dental Assistant: This PART-TIME position requires a minimum of 4 years clinical experience (not including school/externship) in GENERAL dentistry. Business Days: Tuesday, Friday, Saturday - Patient hours are from 9AM-5PM (not including prep and closing time). We're looking for someone who can work 1-3 days, this is great chance to pick up extra days if you work part time somewhere else. Spanish speaking is HIGHLY preferred. Office Zip-code is 89117.

We are currently NOT looking for externs or dental assistants with less than 4 years of clinical experience in general dentistry.

Job Summary
Growing private general dental practice is actively seeking a very experienced part-time Dental Assistant to assist in various services within the dental office ranging from patient treatment care to administrative duties to laboratory functions while maintaining patient care privacy protocols.

Responsibilities and Duties
- Modifying schedules to ensure productivity and maximize doctor schedules.
- The ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a calm and efficient workflow.
- An outstanding attitude that exudes excitement, fun and is team focused. Create excitement about being in the office.
- Greet and assist our patients efficiently with care, concern, and enthusiasm.
- Build an exceptional rapport with patients, parents, and staff.
- Making patients feel comfortable before, during and after dental treatment.
- Commitment to providing quality excellent customer service experience and a desire to make our patients happy and satisfied.
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written). Communicating with patients, staff, and suppliers (i.e. home-care and post-op instructions, scheduling appointments, answering phones, billing and ordering supplies).
- Ability to work in a team-like setting while working cooperatively and collaboratively with others to achieve goals by sharing ideas, knowledge, support, resources, responsibility, and recognition.
- Obtaining patients’ dental records, medical history and treatment planning.
- Enter concise and accurate notes in electronic patient treatment records.
- Capture quality patient radiograph(x-ray) and digital oral photos.
- Assisting to provide direct patient care in comprehensive dental procedures, including hygiene, dental restorative, prosthodontics, orthodontics, pediatric dentistry, endodontics, implants and oral surgery.
- Make exceptional temporary prosthesis (crown/bridges) in a timely manner and packing cord. We use iTero/digital scanning for fix prosthesis and clear aligners.
- Knowledge and experience with Denture appointment steps and basic use of dental lab equipment****
- Take accurate impressions, pour, trim, and polish study cast that does not require multiple retakes. Can self-critique impressions before showing to the doctor.
- Experience in restoring implant crown/overdenture (also preferred implant placement assisting- will train).
- Assistance in ordering the correct dental supplies and organizing. Conscious in cost of materials and equipment.
- Motivating patients to start dental treatment and care. Comfortable in explaining the need for treatment with a patient.
- Work independently for non-doctor-time procedures.
- Anticipate providers' needs, display critical thinking and be prepared for the next steps.
- A desire to develop personally and professionally to reach your full potential.
- Excellent skills with hands/manual dexterity; four-handed dentistry.
- Perform sterilization procedures.
‪- Knowledge of dental terminology and instruments.
- Knowledge and compliance of Infection Control and OSHA guidelines.
- Knowledge of basic computer skills applications including Word Documents, internet, Open Dental(will train).
- Punctual, presentable, and reliable in a professional setting.
- Able to provide references in your resume.
- High School degree or the equivalent.
- Able to work Saturday
- Dental Assistant experience required, minimum of 4 year clinical setting (not including school/externship) in general dentistry
- Preferred bilingual in Spanish

- Starting pay depending on experience: (lead) dental assistant ($19-23/hour)
