HealthQuest Therapeutics LLC is Hiring a Sterile Compounding Technician - Infusion Pharmacy (Entry-Level) Near Houston, TX

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Working under direct supervision of a Registered Pharmacist in prepackaging medication for dispensing according to government regulations. Assists the Pharmacist in final checking of filled prescriptions, which may include staging the medication for R.Ph final review and/or packaging of medication post R.Ph final review and coordinating accurate and timely delivery to the customer. Confirms delivery tickets after delivery. Maintain and uphold ACHC & PCAB accreditation; accurately calibrate equipment, assist with recording and maintaining pharmacy temperature and cleaning logs, ensures all pharmacy surfaces, laminar flow hoods and clean room are cleaned per HQ policy. Assists Pharmacy Management in maintaining good inventory practices which may include receiving and rotating incoming medications and supplies, posting lot numbers, expiration dates and assisting in physical inventory. Work with peers in maintaining a clean, safe work environment. Job requires to be on call in alternate weekends and to be able to accommodate in deliveries. And of course, maintain current Texas State Pharmacy Technician license. Additional opportunities exist for marketing and educational activities both internally and externally.

REQUIREMENTS:

-High School Diploma or equivalent-1 years experience in a long-term care, retail, or hospital pharmacy-Order entry and insurance billing experience required

-State Pharmacy Technician License

-Spanish a plus

-Data entry skills, detail oriented, ability to multi-task

-Must be available to work Day Shift M-F and weekend on-call rotation

-Sterile Compounding experience a MUST.

-Sterile Compounding Certification a MUST.
