As a Substance Use Disorder (SUD) Outreach Intern at Unlimited Bounds Human Services, you will play a crucial role in supporting our outreach programs aimed at assisting individuals affected by substance use disorders. This internship provides a valuable opportunity to gain hands-on experience in community outreach, support services, and program coordination. You will work closely with our outreach team to engage with the community, raise awareness, and provide essential resources to those in need.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in planning and executing outreach events and activities.
• Distribute educational materials and resources to individuals and communities affected by substance use disorders.
• Provide support and information to individuals seeking help or resources for substance use disorders.
• Collaborate with community partners, healthcare providers, and other stakeholders to enhance outreach efforts.
• Help maintain accurate records of outreach activities and participant information.
• Assist in the development of promotional materials and social media content to raise awareness about SUD programs and services.
• Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities.
• Contribute to the evaluation and improvement of outreach programs through feedback and suggestions.

Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing a degree in Social Work, Public Health, Psychology, or a related field.
• Strong interest in substance use disorder prevention and treatment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Basic knowledge of community resources and support services related to substance use disorders is a plus.
• Previous experience in community outreach or volunteer work is beneficial, but not required.
