Job Title: Bakery Production Associate

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Bakery Production Associate to lead our bakery team and grow with our company.

Job Description:

As a Bakery Production Lead Associate, you will play a pivotal role in our daily operations, ensuring the production of high-quality, gluten-free and vegan baked goods that satisfy our customers' cravings and dietary requirements. You will work collaboratively with and lead our baking team, following recipes and procedures to create our pre-set menu of healthy treats.

Key Responsibilities:

• Baking: Prepare and bake a variety of gluten-free and vegan products, including muffins, cookies, and quick breads, following established recipes, and baking in amounts specified by the daily bakery production schedule.
• Ingredient Preparation: Measure, mix, and prepare ingredients according to the bakery's specifications, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
• Quality Control: Monitor the quality of products during all stages of production, identifying and addressing any issues related to taste, texture, or appearance.
• Cleanliness and Sanitation: Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to food safety and sanitation standards at all times to ensure a safe and hygienic baking environment.
• Equipment Operation: Operate baking equipment and machinery, including 60 Qt. Hobart Mixer, ensuring they are properly maintained and reporting any maintenance issues.
• Inventory Management: Assist in inventory control, keeping track of ingredients and supplies, and notifying management when restocking is required.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with other team members, including bakery team and packaging personnel, to ensure smooth production and timely completion of orders.
• Continuous Improvement: Contribute ideas and suggestions for improving methods and processes to help the bakery grow and evolve.

Qualifications:

• At least 2 years of previous experience in a bakery or food production required.
• Able to read and follow written recipes with precision
• Understanding of scratch baking
• Organized, attentive, punctual and responsive to the demands of daily production
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining quality standards.
• Ability to follow instructions, work in a fast-paced environment, and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely (both written and oral) with people at all levels and from various backgrounds.
• Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays, as bakery production schedules may vary.
