JOB SUMMARY

The primary function of the Heavy-Duty Diesel Technician is to perform high quality repairs in a timely manner on the vehicles assigned to them.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Arrive on time and in the uniform provided for assigned shift.
  • Read repair order condition and diagnose needed repairs.
  • Send orders for parts through Decisiv software to the parts counter in a timely manner (giving as much advance notice for special orders as possible).
  • Repair vehicles as assigned within the time allotted.
  • Complete necessary forms needed for repairs – IE: Inspection forms, PM forms, fleet provided forms, PDI inspections.
  • Notify foreman when available for work on a billable job.
  • Types an itemized and Detailed “story” to summarize each repair performed.
  • Properly clock on and off applicable different segments of the repair order.
  • Keep abreast of shop methods, tools and techniques.
  • Check OEM-assigned training daily and stay up-to-date on current procedures.
  • Attend training and obtain certifications as required (at the expense of the company).
  • Adhere to company’s safety and housekeeping policies.
  • Duties are not limited to specific repairs – may have to wash units, repair and/or maintain items for the dealership, delivery trucks, etc.
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 20 lbs. unassisted.
  • Must be able to lift over 20 lbs. with hand trucks, forklifts, overhead cranes, etc.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, bend, climb, and pull during an 8-hour shift.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $22.00 - $42.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

  • Diesel Engine, Truck & Heavy Equipment Mechanics: 1 year (Preferred)

Ability to Relocate:

  • Conshohocken, PA 19428: Relocate before starting work (Required)
