Devall Diesel in Sulphur, LA is currently looking for Marine Diesel Technicians. Requirements:

• Valid Drivers License
• Valid TWIC Card
• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
• Must be able to pass pre-employment Non-DOT Physical and Drug Screen
• At least 2-5 years of industry experience or mechanical experience
• Job-related certifications
• Organizational, computer and communications skills
• Recognize and provide a safe work site with acceptable quality and efficiency 
• Ability to lead, teach, and train proper work and safety procedures
• Must be able to provide, record and manage paperwork
• Must be able to work weekends and/or nights as needed

Job Duties:

The qualified applicant will perform a variety of tasks including the inspection, repair, and preventative and corrective maintenance and modification on diesel engines. 

Hybrid Work Schedule:

It is the policy of the Company to allow for work in-office four days and remotely alternating on Fridays / Mondays. (Hybrid) based on the unique requirements of each position for eligible employees. The requirements and frequency for in-office work is defined by the eligible employee’s department head based on the eligible employee’s position, tenure. Some departments may abide by a different in-office schedule for the needs of the business.

The employees remote work locations must be within Louisiana, Texas and Tennessee. Remote work locations must be free from distractions to the extent possible. The Employee is expected to ensure the protection of confidential and proprietary Company information accessible from their remote work location.

An employee’s compensation, benefits, work status, and work responsibilities will not change due to hybrid work. All PTO and other time-off benefits (including leaves of absence) must be scheduled, approved, and recorded in accordance with the Company’s time-off policies and practices.

Employees must be accessible during our established business hours of 8am to 4pm via teams, email or phone. Failure to be accessible while working remotely may lead to termination of the employee’s eligible for the hybrid work program.

Employees with work in-office as necessitated by their position within the Company and performance level as determined by their supervisor with the approval of the department head. The employee’s supervisor, with the consent of the department head, may modify or revoke the employee’s hybrid arrangement unilaterally. Once determined, revoked and/or modified, an agreement for signature will be provided to the employee. The employee and their immediate supervisor will sign, and the executed agreement placed in the employees personnel file to memorialize the arrangement. The intent of the hybrid arrangement is to create a long-term schedule. However, flexibility is given to the supervisor and department head to make changes should circumstances dictate different or additional in-office time or the employee’s performance doesn’t meet expectations. Each year during the performance appraisal, the hybrid arrangement will be reviewed.
