The Warehouse Assistant role is integral to the production team, focusing on assembling and preparing parts for installers and customers in the Southeast, Florida region. This position involves hands-on work with materials and components, ensuring that all parts are properly sorted, assembled, and ready for use. The role requires proficiency with production machinery, tools, and an ability to perform various manual tasks efficiently and accurately.

This role demands a combination of technical skills, manual dexterity, and effective communication. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, proactive in addressing challenges, and capable of working both independently and as part of a team.

This is for our Lake Worth, FL location

Main Responsibilities:

Production Team Collaboration:

• Work collaboratively with a production team to assemble and prepare parts for Southeast installers and customers.

• Ensure that all tasks are completed efficiently and meet the required standards.

Material Handling:

• Sort and place materials or items on tables, racks, or bins for easy access and organization.

• Pick up, move, and sort small parts to maintain a well-organized workspace.

Assembly Work:

• Assemble long aluminum and steel reels used in the construction of storm protection systems.

• Use production machinery to saw, drill, and assemble various components.

• Utilize small tools and jigs to manipulate parts accurately for assembly.

Logistics Support:

• Drive needed materials to job sites, ensuring timely and safe delivery.

• Maintain records of material deliveries and pickups.

General Housekeeping:

• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the work area to ensure a safe and efficient production environment.

• Perform general housekeeping duties regularly to keep the workspace tidy.

Miscellaneous Tasks:

• Perform other related duties as assigned by management, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to assist wherever needed.

• Stand throughout the duration of the work shift to perform various tasks.

Education / Skills / Experience:

• High School diploma, GED or equivalent

Manufacturing Experience:

• Proven experience in a manufacturing setting, demonstrating knowledge of production processes and machinery.

Communication Skills:

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and report to management.

Problem-Solving Abilities:

• Strong analytical skills to identify and solve problems as they arise during the production process.

Measurement Skills:

• Proficiency in reading and using a tape measure accurately to ensure precise assembly of components.

• Ability to work in a positive manner with other associates within cell areas and develop and maintain strong working relationships across teams and disciplines
