OVERVIEW

At Anchor we believe that everyone, while imperfect, craves connection with the living God. We’re convinced it’s what we’re made for. And, as Jesus-Followers, we are called to champion this craving by crafting community, living as lights in our neighborhoods, deepening our discipleship to Jesus, and embodying His love. The role of worship pastor is crucial in all of this.

The worship pastor wakes us up to the beauty and holiness of God through the crafting and curation of our church gatherings. In this role, they would also train and empower others in their gifts, guiding them towards Jesus-centered leadership. We envision the next worship pastor for Anchor to relish the creative process, excel in mentoring other leaders, and be immersed in a process of spiritual formation. And cracking jokes and some ping pong skills wouldn't hurt either.

THE RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide guidance and coaching to campus worship directors and interns in the Anchor Network.
• Design and execute Jesus-centered gatherings at Anchor Central, overseeing all worship and production elements.
• Recruit and train members for the worship band and production teams at Anchor Central, fostering a sense of purpose and belonging.
• Supervise the production director and department at Anchor Central.
• Regular attendance at staff functions, meetings, events, retreats, and trainings.

THE GENERAL EXPECTATIONS:

• Alignment with Anchor’s theology, Ministry Philosophy, and DNA.
• Active involvement in the Anchor Church Community.
• Agreement with and adherence to the leadership structure of Anchor Church.
• Prompt response to staff/volunteer concerns.
• Regular attendance at selected staff events and weekly Anchor Central gatherings.

Some technical skills that’d help

• Driven by vision, action-oriented, and passionate about achieving exceptional results.
• Proficient in common computer programs (email, Slack, Planning Center, ProP7, etc).
• Vocal and instrumental experience in a worship team with musical proficiency.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks with meticulous attention to detail.
• Demonstrate emotional intelligence.

Full time position. Reports to the Executive Pastor of Ministries.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 - $73,000.00 per year
