Project Kuiper is an initiative to increase global broadband access through a constellation of 3,236 satellites in low Earth orbit (LEO). Its mission is to bring fast, affordable broadband to unserved and underserved communities around the world. Project Kuiper will help close the digital divide by delivering fast, affordable broadband to a wide range of customers, including consumers, businesses, government agencies, and other organizations operating in places without reliable connectivity.

We’re looking for an experienced Industry Marketing leader who is equally entrepreneurial as creative. Someone who wants the thrill of autonomously influencing dozens of stakeholders and decision-makers, in as many organizations. At Project Kuiper, the B2B Marketing team will define our end-to-end go-to-market (GTM) strategy, own B2B customer insights, deliver compelling content, and acquire and retain customers in multiple industries and regions around the world.
The leader in this role will be as comfortable with full lifecycle account-based marketing as programmatic digital, bold thought leadership, and white glove executive programs. The Principal Industry Marketing Lead will have a proven track record of acquiring, engaging and retaining customers through industry aligned segmentation for complex customer journeys. They will have deep knowledge in a few, and broad knowledge in many of industries Kuiper will support including, Energy, Utilities, Manufacturing, Mobility (things that move), Telecommunications, Financial Services and Agriculture. They will have built and led teams of industry markers in the past, and they will have worked to successfully set a vision for their team and achieve these targets over time.
This is a rare opportunity to shape the global industry strategy for a highly advanced connectivity service before general availability.
Key job responsibilities
  • Define a global acquisition, engagement, and retention strategy for accounts across the industries and segments you own.
  • Develop, launch, and manage industry-based campaigns, tracking and reporting on their success, then optimizing over time.
  • Map and apply marketing tactics across the customer journey
  • Optimize Marketing Acquired Leads (MAL), Marketing Qualified Leads (MQL) and Sales Qualified Leads (SQL) conversion down the customer funnel across segments.
  • Work daily with a Marketing tech stack that includes Marketo and Salesforce.com
  • Work cross-functionally across PMM, Brand, Creative, Research and Operations teams to apply the latest digital, event and content acquisition tactics, while empowering regional teams to execute global best practices.
  • Recruit and manage a team of industry marketers, and agencies to support your plan.
  • Communicate regularly with executive leadership, business development and product management on programs, campaign effectiveness and marketing strategies.

A day in the life
This is a highly visible, high impact role as one of the leaders on the Kuiper B2B Marketing team. They will start as an individual contributor to set the overall acquisition strategy for both account-based marketing and campaigns to acquire leads at scale, then build a team to autonomously execute their vision. This expert will own strategic relationships with industry-based marketing partners and work together with Amazon Web Services (AWS) counterparts to target and win broad industry endpoints. They will work in close partnership with business operations, business development, and Kuiper marketing teams to set and achieve aggressive lead-generation goals. This person will thrive by working independently with large, cross-functional teams inside and outside Amazon, while working directly with our largest and most exacting customers.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $127,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
