Job Summary:

We are seeking a friendly and efficient Server to join our team at Nelson's in the Whit. As a Server, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service and ensuring an enjoyable dining experience for our guests. Your main responsibilities will include taking orders, serving food and beverages, and maintaining a clean and organized dining area.

Responsibilities:

- Greet and seat guests in a timely and friendly manner

- Present menus, answer questions, and make recommendations regarding food and beverages

- Take accurate food and drink orders from guests

- Enter orders into the POS system and ensure accuracy

- Serve food and beverages to guests in a prompt and courteous manner

- Monitor guest satisfaction and promptly address any issues or concerns

- Clear tables, clean dining area, and reset tables for the next guests

- Assist with food preparation as needed

- Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines

- Provide exceptional hospitality and guest services throughout the dining experience

Requirements:

- Previous experience as a Server or in a similar customer service role is preferred

- Basic math skills for handling payments and making change

- Knowledge of POS systems is a plus

- Strong guest relations skills with the ability to provide excellent customer service

- Familiarity with food safety practices and guidelines

- Ability to handle food safely, including proper handling of hot plates and glassware

- Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with guests and team members

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail

- Must be able to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 25 pounds
