Double Mountain Brewery & Taproom has been operating in the Columbia River Gorge for 17 years producing world-famous craft beer and cider. Our food program for the past 17 years has been focused on providing our friends and family the best New Haven-style thin crust pizza in the Pacific NW as well as sandwiches, salads, and a variety of appetizers.

Lead Line Cook
This position works with and reports directly to the Kitchen Manager.
Daily tasks consist of but are not limited to the following: basic prep, station set-up/breakdown, putting away orders and rotating stock using the FIFO standard, utilizing checklists/task lists to keep the kitchen clean and busy during downtime, ensuring all prep tasks are finished by end of the day, written communication in the manager log utilizing Google Docs, training and coaching staff as directed by the Kitchen Manager, regularly lifting and carrying objects ranging between 5-50lbs and up to 100lbs on occasion.
The successful candidate should have at least 5 years experience working in the BOH and at least 2 years of experience in a Lead role or equivalent. Relevant and recent pizza experience is a plus but not required; we will train the successful candidate in our methods and style of pizza-making. Bilingual in English and Spanish is also a plus but not required.
Other qualifications include but are not limited to: strong communication skills (both verbal and written), strong leadership skills, strong knife skills, experience with various pieces of kitchen equipment (blenders, mixers, slicers, ovens, steam tables, etc), ordering, inventory, labor control, remain calm under pressure, problem-solver with a focus on forward-thinking solutions.

This is a full-time, 35-40 hour/week position.
