Telit Cinterion is Hiring an Information Technology Support Engineer Near Boca Raton, FL

IT SUPPORT ENGINEER

The IT support engineer will report to the NA Support Manager and be part of Global Support Team. They provide support for more than 1000 employees locally and over several physical locations worldwide, with focus on America and Brazil employees. Offices including Bellevue, Boca Raton, Irvine, Durham, San Paulo, and Campinas.

IT Support Engineer responsibilities are hardware and software support to all employees as well as 1st/2nd tier troubleshooting. Manage user creation and permission assignment. Install and configure operating systems. Maintain compliance with software licensing and inventory.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Provide helpdesk operational and security support to resolve problems to the end user’s satisfaction
  • Install, test, and configure new workstations, peripherals, equipment and software
  • Manage PC setup and deployment for new employees using standard hardware, images and software
  • Assist with onboarding of new users and manage leaving employees
  • Utilize and maintain the helpdesk ticketing system
  • Maintain inventory of all equipment, software, and software licenses
  • Report issues to the Service Desk for escalation to other team members
  • Managing Video Conference systems and other local or remote devices and systems
  • Manage users, groups, and computers in Active Directory
  • Act as focal point for communications with local IT services suppliers
  • Testing and evaluating new technologies
  • Document internal procedures
  • Visit remote offices when required

Qualifications:

  • At least 4 years of IT Support / Helpdesk technical experience
  • Proven experience with Installation of workstations, laptops, and mobile devices
  • Ability to troubleshoot hardware, software, and operating system, able to provide IT orientation to new users.
  • Knowledge in Active Directory, Exchange, Teams, Office 365, antivirus, patch management, printers, etc.
  • Ability to work in a high stress environment, including after hours and on call.
  • Skillful in troubleshooting and internal communications
  • Fast and self-learning capabilities, well organized and self-managed
  • Good written and oral English

Advantages:

  • Practical experience with Firewalls, SSL VPN, VoiP
  • Practical experience with VMware ESX, vSphere, Servers
  • Field experience in operating Microsoft Active Directory Management Tools, Microsoft SCCM applications/OS distributions
  • Field experience with backup operation
  • Field experience with networking basics including wireless networks.
  • Field experience in Linux distributions
