The NEW Moxy Madison Downtown is hiring Hotel Front Desk/ Bartenders Part Time for the151-room hotel in downtown Madison, WI. Owned and managed by NCG Hospitality, this property will be the very first Moxy hotel in Wisconsin, a unique lifestyle hotel brand featuring a rooftop bar and restaurant located downtown. Moxy boldly breaks the rules of a conventional hotel stay – starting with check-in at the Bar. Communal play spaces and a central bar serves double duty as the front desk, delivering a unique playful experience. How do I make an impact on my team? Our friendly Hotel Front Desk Agent/Bartender provide attentive and courteous service, all while creating a memorable and personalized experience for our guests.
Greet and interact with guests in a warm, friendly and professional manner
Provide highest level of service by anticipating, listening attentively, and responding promptly to guests’ needs
Promptly handle guest service requests and guest complaints to meet and exceed guest expectations
Work in cooperation with other departments to ensure a positive guest experience
Use computer system to make reservations, check-in and check-out guests and process payments
Perform tasks such as answering phones, maintain a cash drawer, operate office equipment
Ensure safety and security of the property, staff and guests
Promotes house drinks and food utilizing suggestive selling skills whenever possible to maximize revenues.
Prepares beverages and food requested by customers or servers according to standard operating procedures.
Has complete knowledge of the menus, including preparation time, approximate portion size and serving procedures.
Follows alcohol awareness training process to monitor guest behavior and guest alcohol consumption.
What does success look like in this role?
Must have at least 1 year of hotel front desk experience or 1 year of Bartending experience
Must be available to work weekends
Schedules consist of 7am-3pm or 3pm-11/4pm-12am/5pm-1am
Motivated to maintain excellent customer service reputation
Strong oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
Strong attention to detail, organization and follow-up abilities
Ability to work effectively and efficiently in a fast-paced setting
Reliability and honesty
Desire to contribute to a supportive and effective team
