Full time mature and experienced professional nanny, TRAVEL REQUIRED
MUST HAVE A MINIMUM OF 2 YEARS OF PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE AS A NANNY OR IN A LICENSED DAYCARE
Childcare is the number one priority. You will be responsible for the following on a daily basis:
Getting child ready for the day and for bedtime
Preparation of and serving sippy cup (milk and water)
Preparation of and serving of healthy, well-rounded meals (including preparing snack
and lunchbox for school eventually when child goes to school)
Diapering/changing
Bath time (depending on time)
Maintaining a healthy play and sleep routine (abiding by daily schedule e.g. sticking to
meal times, nap times, class times, play times, etc.)
Providing daily stimulation such as music, reading, playtime, park visits, library visits,
classes (eventually), walks, making sure she is up to date on all milestones and other
age-appropriate activities
Introducing to the basics of counting, ABC’s, shapes, colors, courtesy/manners, sharing,
neatness, etc.
Organizing playdates
Letting parents know what supplies they are running low on (diapers, wipes, etc.)
Household
Maintaining the cleanliness of the kitchen
Cooking and food preparation for child
Doing child’s laundry daily or every other day depending on load
Childs bedroom: changing crib sheets and sleepsack twice a week, restocking changing
table, tidying up bathroom
Cleaning and putting away toys that have been taken out (playroom, childs room
basement, outside, etc.)
Hours
45 guaranteed hours a week
Ideally 8-5 PM 5x a week – can vary Mon-Fri, Tues-Sat and times can vary as well. They will aim to give 2 weeks notice for schedule
Travel
Mom is from NY and would expect you to travel when visiting family on Long Island (aprox 6-8 wks a year).
New York. You will have your own bedroom and bathroom in the family home.
Qualifications:
Previous experience of a minimum of 2 years in childcare, preferably as a nanny or family assistant.
Demonstrated ability to prioritize the well-being and development of children.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Flexibility in scheduling and willingness to adapt to changing needs.
Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
CPR certification.
Ability to swim
Compensation:
$20 to $25 hr based on experience.
