We are seeking enthusiastic, dedicated, and responsible individuals to join our team as Camp Counselors. This role involves working directly with campers to ensure their safety, enjoyment, and personal growth throughout their camp experience. As a camp counselor, you will serve as a mentor, guide, and role model, fostering a positive and inclusive environment.

Job Duties:

1. Camper Supervision and Safety:

· Supervise and ensure the safety of campers at all times.

· Maintain a positive and supportive environment for campers.

· Enforce camp rules and safety guidelines consistently and fairly.

2. Activity Leadership:

· Plan, organize, and lead various camp activities, including sports, arts and crafts, outdoor adventures, and team-building exercises.

· Adapt activities to meet the needs and interests of different age groups and abilities.

· Encourage participation and foster a spirit of teamwork and cooperation.

3. Camper Development:

· Promote personal growth and social development by building relationships with campers and providing guidance.

· Address and resolve camper conflicts, offering support and mediation when necessary.

· Monitor camper behavior and provide positive reinforcement and constructive feedback.

4. Communication and Collaboration:

· Communicate effectively with campers, fellow counselors, camp staff, and parents.

· Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and debriefings.

· Collaborate with other counselors to plan and implement camp-wide events and activities.

5. Health and Wellness:

· Assist with the administration of basic first aid and emergency procedures as needed.

· Monitor camper health, hygiene, and overall well-being.

· Report any health or safety concerns to the Camp Director promptly.

6. Role Modeling:

· Exemplify the camp’s values, demonstrating respect, integrity, and responsibility.

· Serve as a positive role model for campers, displaying enthusiasm and a positive attitude.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $14.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
