Medical clinic in Pearland is looking for a part-time nurse for rooming patients, monitoring vital signs, providing sedation during procedures as well as post-procedure patient care. Procedures will include vascular procedures and minor office based surgeries. Ideal candidate will have ICU or Operating room/recovery or cath lab experience. Please email with CV. Responsibilities include....

• Collaborate with physicians to create a Plan of Care for each patient
• Communicate with physicians, LPNs, radiologists and other medical professionals
• Create and contribute to patients' medical records as needed
• Administer medications, provide sedation
• Track and maintain medical supply inventory along with other staff members
• Consider the age of the patient and his or her emotional stability when determining appropriate treatment
• Counsel patients and family members before, during and after treatment
• Respond to inquiries, concerns and complaints from patients and their parents or guardians
• Required skills
• Valid nursing license
• Advanced knowledge of EMRs
• Ability to explain treatments and conditions to patients of all ages
• Valid BLS and ACLS certification is a pre-requisite to apply
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required
• Working knowledge of health care laws and regulations
• 3 years' nursing experience, preferably with acute care experience
• Excellent bedside manner and communication skills
