Pacific Channel Transportation LLC is Hiring a Non CDL Delivery Driver Near Portland, OR
Salary Range: $200-250/day
Job SummaryPacific Channel Transportation is seeking a Full-Time Non-CDL Driver. As a Relief Driver, you will report in every day and will fill in for any call-outs. If you are not needed on a route that night, you are responsible for helping to load and unload any freight. This role involves the timely pickup, labeling, and delivery of shipments within a 200-mile radius of Portland.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Ability to work NIGHT SHIFT 9:00pm - 5:00am.
- Touch freight – must be able to load and unload heavy items up to 70 lbs.
- Ability to operate a forklift and/or pallet jack.
- Exceptional customer contact and driving skills.
- Drivers will be required to interact with customers, warehouse leaders and associates, and store leader and associates.
- Drivers will also be expected to systemically update orders via a handheld device.
- Drive a non-CDL vehicle – 26ft box trucks.
- Communicate delivery updates to customers.
- Load the truck in an efficient manner for unloading and confirm customer orders.
- Climb in and out of delivery cab to accommodate customer deliveries throughout the day.
- Any additional duties as assigned.
- Requires intermittent periods during which continuous physical exertion is required, such as walking, standing, stooping, climbing, lifting material or equipment, some of which may be heavy or awkward.
- Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
- Valid, active Class C Driver's License.
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record and Background.
- 2-years of Non-CDL Driving Experience.
- Ability to load and unload heavy items up to 70 lbs.
- Must pass DOT physical, criminal check and drug screen.
- As a non-CDL Driver, you must be a team player with excellent customer service skills and the commitment to succeed.
- Qualified candidates are self-motivated, responsible, highly organized, and able to multitask in a fast-paced and constantly changing environment all with a positive attitude.
