About the Role

The Executive Director, Global Marketing is responsible for creating and implementing all Global Marketing initiatives for new launches and ongoing business across multiple categories. This position will define and drive the innovation strategy with the VP of Global Marketing to create long term brand equity while driving top line brand growth globally. This role will oversee a team leading the creation and marketing of innovative products, methods, and modes of communication in the quickly evolving makeup market. This position is responsible for defining the vision and long-term plan for their categories and driving cross-functional collaboration to develop and implement cohesive global strategies for brand expansion.

Primary Responsibilities

Brand Strategy

  • Work on strategy of the brand leading innovation that’s relevant in the ever-changing environment today and inline with the brand positioning, equity and artistry.
  • Develop the 3-5 year category plan with a lens on Western Markets and Asia specific needs
  • Analyze the brand's business to identify growth opportunities and need gaps
  • Brainstorm innovative product ideas with Product development and Education
  • Puts emphasis on speed to market; thinks digitally first in their execution of any project
  • Identify areas of opportunity for pricing, SKU rationalization and other value-added initiatives to drive profitable growth

Product Innovation and Core Support

  • Lead new product development process partnering with all cross- functional teams
  • Ensure consistent message across all internal documents (bulletins, marketing decks, retailer presentations…)
  • Analyze and manage product COGs to ensure favorable profitability to the brand
  • Lead forecasting process, set goals and identify launch 0bjectives that ladder up to greater category and brand goals
  • Partner with internal 360 teams to develop best in class go-to-market strategy
  • Create animations for pillar product to create excitement each year and ensure growth
  • Manage reformulation, repackaging, and reworks to be phased in
  • Optimize production costs and process efficiency
  • Ensure the consistency of the products developed
  • Work with the creative and VM teams to bring the brand vision, messaging hierarchy to life across all consumer touchpoints
  • Develops programs and initiatives to elevate the brand experience while ensuring global image, standards and direction is upheld.

Leadership/Team

  • Present to the leadership team regularly including the brand president, Exec Com and CEO
  • Coach and develop team- set goals, development plans and motivate and inspire
  • Lead the development of key presentations for internal and external partners
  • Partner with US and International markets to meet local needs and support the regions in achieving the short- and long-term business goals and strategies

Qualifications

  • College degree, 12-15 years of work experience in beauty marketing
  • Must have global marketing expertise and experience in the complexion category
  • Experience managing multiple product categories and teams
  • A passionate, creative thinker with a proactive and entrepreneurial spirit
  • An energetic team-oriented individual with strong interpersonal skills and high level of emotional intelligence
  • Strong analytical, strategic thinking skills, ability to structure presentations, simplify complexity and solve problems
  • Strong project management skills, structured, sense of respect of timeline
  • Attention to details, ability to work independently, reliable
  • A strong sense of urgency, ability to manage details and projects while responding to changing priorities and feedback in a fast-paced environment
  • Leadership qualities to motivate and drive peer teams and direct reports
  • Strong oral, written, communication and presentation skills.
  • Must have strong presentation skills and visual PowerPoint presentation aesthetics
  • Software expertise – MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

In accordance with the Pay Transparency requirements, the following represents a good faith estimate of the compensation range for this position.

At Orveon Global, we carefully consider a wide range of non-discriminatory factors when determining salary. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, education, experience, and qualifications.

The pay range for this position is $142,000 - 237,000.

The range listed is just one component of Orveon’s total compensation package for employees. For full time positions other benefits include competitive bonuses, a generous Paid Time Off policy, Medical Benefits, Parental Leave, 401K, Gratis, Hybrid Working Environment, Summer Fridays, and Employee Discounts.
