iKids U Austin is hiring for Fall 2024 - Spring 2025
Seeking Experienced Childcare Staff to train as iKids U Instructors leading group activities and keeping fun a top priority at Austin elementary schools! Schedule is 4-5 days per week, part time 12-15 hours from 2:30 - 5/6 PM, beginning mid August 2024 thru May 2025.
Our Stay, Play, & Learn course celebrates a new theme every week with diverse craft-based and recreational activities! All lesson plans and supplies are provided by the campus supervisor. iKids provides an organized teaching environment for instructors interested in developing leadership and communication skills with elementary-age students.
Details:

• Pay range is $15.00 – 17.00 per hour
• Afternoons 2:30 - 5 / 6:00 PM, most week days
• Instructors work 12 - 15 hours per week (no weekends)
• Part time following the 2024-2025 Austin elementary school calendar

Duties:

• Implement iKids lesson plans & engage kids in various enrichment courses
• Monitor and maintain child safety on playground, during activities and snack breaks
• Provide homework assistance and actively engage with students
• Maintain classroom management
• Assist in organizing materials and a child-friendly space
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, peers, and parents
• Support iKids mission to provide high quality enrichment, tutoring, and care
• May lift 5-30 lbs; anticipate physical demands of a standard classroom and playground setting.

Required:

• Experience with children (like camps, coaching, teaching, tutoring, workshops, child care, child development, teacher assistance, special education, child therapy, instructional assistance, substitute teaching, or baby-sitting/childcare)
• Maintain a consistent, weekly teaching schedule, 4-5 days/week
• Independent transportation and currently residing in Austin metroplex
• High School Diploma or equivalent, required; some college hours/degree preferred
• Clear background and fingerprinting results
