Position Title: Visitor Services Associate

Status: Part-Time, Non-Exempt

Reports to: Museum & Gift Shop Manager and Director of Operations

Position Summary: The Adams County Historical Society (ACHS) is seeking a passionate visitor services professional to join our team.

The Essential Functions of the Position Include:

● Assisting with all front-end operations from a central reception desk, especially museum ticketing and gift shop sales

● Processing new and renewing memberships through the Society’s CRM database

● Stocking/restocking gift shop and café area

● Assisting with product/sales inventory

● Basic reception duties, including answering phones

● Answering visitor questions to enhance their experience at the museum

● Working with volunteers to ensure all functions are operating smoothly

Experience:

● Excellent verbal and written communication skills, especially with the general public

● Ability to learn new programs and software quickly

● Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Products

● Experience with CRM database system is helpful

● High Energy and enthusiasm for Gettysburg/Adams County history

● Team player with problem solving skills

● Detail-oriented and highly organized

Terms of Employment:

● Part-time, under 30 hours per week, hours will vary based on seasonal needs

● Must be available to work a flexible schedule

● Must be available to work 7 days per week from 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., holidays, and occasionally early mornings and evenings

● $10-12 per hour depending on experience
