Job Summary:
Griswold Home Care for Mesquite is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver to join our team in Canton, Texas. This full-time, hourly position in the healthcare/medical field will provide individuals with the opportunity to make a positive impact in the lives of our clients and their families. As an individual contributor, the Caregiver will be responsible for providing daily assistance and care to our clients in their homes.
Compensation & Benefits:
The compensation for this position is $15 to $17 per hour. In addition to a competitive salary, we also offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, and vision insurance, short term/long term insurance, life inaurance, as well as training & rewards programs.
Responsibilities:
- Assist clients with activities of daily living, including bathing, grooming, toileting, and dressing
- Prepare meals and assist with feeding according to client's dietary needs
- Provide medication reminders and assist with medication management as needed
- Help with mobility and transfers, including the use of assistive devices such as walkers and wheelchairs
- Perform light housekeeping tasks, including laundry, dishes, and changing bed linens
- Provide companionship and engage in activities with clients to promote socialization and mental stimulation
- Report any changes in client's condition or needs to the designated supervisor
- Follow care plans and instructions provided by our team of healthcare professionals
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of services provided
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 3 year experience as a caregiver, preferably in a home care setting
- Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screening
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lift and transfer clients if needed
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed
- Caring and compassionate personality with a strong desire to help others
