Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Butcher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in food preparation, meat cutting, and a passion for the culinary arts.
Duties:
- Prepare meats for sale by cutting, trimming, boning, grinding, or slicing
- Ensure meat products are stored and displayed at the correct temperature
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas and equipment
- Assist customers with meat selection and provide cooking recommendations
- Package, weigh, label, and price cuts of meat
- Follow food safety standards and regulations
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a butcher or similar role within the food industry
- Knowledge of different cuts of meat and proper handling techniques
- Ability to use various knives and cutting equipment effectively
- Strong attention to detail and quality control
- Familiarity with kitchen operations and food production processes
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Experience in a restaurant or culinary environment
- Proficiency in meat packaging methods
- Understanding of food safety practices
- Knowledge of different meat types and their uses
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $17.00 - $22.00 per hour
