Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Service Writer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in diesel engine repair, mechanical knowledge, and customer service.
Duties:
- Greet customers and assist with service inquiries
- Write accurate service orders based on customer requests
- Align customer needs with available services
- Transmit work orders to the service department promptly
- Provide estimates for services such as oil changes, tire service, shocks/struts, brake repairs, etc.
- Coordinate with technicians to ensure timely completion of services
- Maintain detailed records of customer interactions and transactions
Experience:
- Prior experience in a similar role preferred
- Proficiency in cash handling procedures
- Knowledge of auto estimating and repair terminology
- Familiarity with diesel engine repair and maintenance
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers and technicians
