Join Our Team as a Tumbling Instructor!

We're on the lookout for a dynamic and experienced Tumbling Instructor to join our team. As a Tumbling Instructor, you'll play a key role in teaching children various tumbling skills and techniques, fostering their physical development, coordination, and confidence. Join us in creating a safe and engaging learning environment where children can explore and master tumbling movements while having a blast!

Responsibilities:

  • Tumbling Instruction: Teach children, typically aged 5 to 12, a variety of tumbling skills including rolls, cartwheels, handstands, bridges, backbends, walkovers, and basic acrobatic maneuvers.
  • Lesson Planning: Develop age-appropriate lesson plans aligned with the tumbling program's goals. Design progressive skill-building activities to enhance children's tumbling abilities.
  • Skill Demonstration: Demonstrate proper techniques and provide clear instructions to children for safe and effective tumbling. Emphasize proper form, body alignment, and control.
  • Safety and Spotting: Prioritize safety and enforce safety rules during training sessions. Be proficient in spotting techniques to assist children during skill practice and ensure their safety.
  • Progress Evaluation: Assess children's progress, offer constructive feedback, and set appropriate goals to improve their tumbling abilities.
  • Engage and Motivate: Create a positive and supportive learning environment that encourages children to try new skills and overcome challenges. Use positive reinforcement to boost children's self-confidence.
  • Individualized Instruction: Adapt teaching methods to meet the needs and abilities of individual children. Provide personalized attention and modifications as necessary.
  • Communication: Maintain open communication with parents/guardians, updating them on their child's progress, achievements, and any concerns. Offer guidance and recommendations for home practice and skill enhancement.
  • Class Management: Ensure classes are well-structured and organized. Maintain discipline, enforce rules, and address behavioral issues promptly and professionally.
  • Continuous Learning: Stay updated on current tumbling trends, techniques, and safety guidelines. Seek professional development opportunities to enhance coaching skills and knowledge.

Qualifications:

  • Tumbling Expertise: Strong background in tumbling with proficiency in a wide range of tumbling skills and techniques.
  • Coaching Experience: Prior experience instructing children in tumbling, gymnastics, dance, cheerleading, or related disciplines. Familiarity with coaching methods, skill progressions, and lesson planning.
  • Safety Certification: Hold current certifications in First Aid and CPR. Additional certifications in tumbling safety and spotting techniques are advantageous.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with children, parents, and fellow instructors. Ability to provide clear instructions and offer constructive feedback.
  • Patience and Encouragement: Ability to work patiently with children of varying ages, skill levels, and learning styles. Encourage and motivate children to develop their tumbling abilities and build confidence.
  • Adaptability: Flexibility to modify coaching methods to accommodate individual children's needs and learning styles.
  • Physical Fitness: Demonstrated physical fitness and strength to perform tumbling skills. Ability to lead conditioning exercises and assist children during training sessions.
