Seymour Oil & Propane is looking for an experienced gas service technician for residential work. A G1 or G2 gas license is required.

Key responsibilities of a propane gas technician may include:

• Installation: Setting up propane gas systems, including tanks, regulators, piping, and appliances such as furnaces, water heaters, stoves, and grills. This involves understanding building codes, safety regulations, and proper equipment placement.
• Inspection and Testing: Conducting thorough inspections of existing propane systems to ensure they meet safety standards and function efficiently. This may involve pressure testing, leak detection, and evaluating ventilation systems.
• Maintenance: Performing routine maintenance tasks to keep propane systems operating smoothly and prevent potential issues. This includes cleaning, lubricating, adjusting, and replacing components as needed.
• Repairs: Diagnosing and repairing malfunctions or damage in propane systems and appliances. This can involve troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, or combustion-related problems and implementing appropriate solutions.
• Safety Compliance: Ensuring that propane installations comply with all relevant safety regulations and guidelines, such as those established by the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) and local building codes. This includes proper ventilation, leak detection, and emergency shut-off procedures.
• Customer Service: Interacting with clients to understand their propane needs, answer questions, and provide guidance on equipment usage, maintenance, and safety practices.
• Emergency Response: Being prepared to respond to propane-related emergencies, such as gas leaks or equipment malfunctions, in a prompt and effective manner to mitigate risks and ensure the safety of individuals and property.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $18.00 - $40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 50 per week
