Responsibilities:
- Greet and check-in patients, ensuring a positive and welcoming experience
- Answer phone calls and schedule appointments for patients
- Verify patient insurance information and collect necessary co-pays or payments
- Maintain patient records and update information as needed
- faxing, filing, and organizing documents
- Follow HIPAA guidelines to ensure patient privacy and confidentiality
- Coordinate with other departments or healthcare facilities for referrals or medical records
- Assist with medical scheduling and coordinating patient appointments

Requirements:
- Previous experience in a medical receptionist.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures is a plus
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Proficient in using computer systems and software such as Epic or other electronic medical record systems
- Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and professionally, especially in emergency room settings
