Job TitleCalibrator I
Join Our TeamWe are seeking a Calibrator to join our team in Sweetwater, Texas. The Calibrator I position performs in-house calibration and functional testing of Ludlum and competitor radiation instruments. Training and mentoring of new calibrators are possible. Develops and maintains professional working relationships with various customer contacts necessary to accomplish assigned objectives. Job Requirements
  • Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Up to five years’ experience calibrating Ludlum radiation meters will set you apart.
  • Exceptional scheduling, communication, organizational, customer, and self-motivational skills are required.
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills to clearly report to all levels of LMI and customer management.
Job Responsibilities
  • Calibrates radiation instruments in accordance with written procedures then accurately documents written calibration certificates.
  • Meets or exceeds the goals for Sales, On Time Deliveries (OTD), rework, and other critical Service Department metrics.
  • Updates and maintains ExactMAX Sales Order (SO) notes accurately depicting instrument/work progress.
  • Determines and provides accurate calibration quotations soliciting customer approval. Ensures the work order is properly updated with the results.
  • Maintains orderly and accurate open work order files to easily assess current status.
  • Accurately enters and maintains data into Ludlum’s Cal Base in accordance with Quality requirements.
  • Provides functional and calibration assistance to customers when required.
  • Remains current on existing and emerging LMI radiation detector calibration procedures.
